I just love ground beef! There’s so many great ways to use it and it freezes great so I can always make sure I have some on hand. Plus, it’s nutrient-dense, packed with vitamins and minerals (like iron!) and can be cheaper than chicken or pork.
I personally love the taste of ground beef but if beef isn’t your thing or you’re looking for a leaner option, you can always swap for ground turkey or ground chicken in most of these recipes!

What type of ground beef should I use for these healthy ground beef recipes?
Most of these healthy ground beef recipes are written using 96/4 lean ground beef. However, you can use any type of ground beef you prefer (just be aware it might change the pre-calculated macros a bit). You can also sub most of these recipes for ground turkey or ground chicken if you prefer.

Ground beef is nutrient-dense protein that provides numerous essential macro and micronutrients. It’s a great source of healthy fats, complete proteins, B vitamins, and zinc. It is also a great source of iron.
