About This Recipe
One of my favorite menu items from Chick-fil-A is the grilled chicken cool wrap. But if you love Chick-fil-A like me, you know an every day trip to the drive thru can add up!
That’s why I love having this awesome copycat Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap recipe on hand. The best part is how easy it is to throw together and you can customize it to any of your preferences!
This grilled cool wrap is a great easy lunch or dinner! It is packed with protein, fiber and can easily be made in advance.
My favorite dressing to serve with this cool wrap is my lightened up Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing (for a true copycat Chick-fil-A experience) but it’s also delicious with my Chick-fil-A Honey Roasted BBQ or Skinny Honey Mustard!
One of the reasons this wrap is one of my favorite copycat recipes is because it’s a great source of protein (thanks to the chicken and cheese) and is also packed with gut-friendly dietary fiber (thanks to the whole wheat tortilla and fresh mix of green leaf lettuce)!
You can make this wrap for a healthy lunch or light dinner. For healthier options, I love serving it with homemade fruit salad or macaroni salad. Or, I will add a few waffle fries for the ultimate combo meal!

How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!
1. Slice the 2 chicken breasts in half to make 4 cutlets. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and place in a bowl with the olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Toss well to coat.
2. Place the chicken cutlets on the grill, and grill for 2-3 minutes per side or until the internal temperature of the chicken is 155F (carry over cooking will ensure chicken reaches 165F).
3. Remove from the grill and place on a cutting board or plate. Allow the chicken to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing (this helps keep it juicy).
4. Microwave the wraps for 10-15 seconds (so they are more pliable and less likely to break).
5. Then add the lettuce, followed by cheese, and then sliced chicken (1/4 of everything to each wrap).
6. Wrap like you’d wrap a burrito, then cut in half and serve with avocado lime ranch dressing or your dressing of choice. Store remaining wraps in the fridge in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
Use A Soft Tortilla!
Make sure your tortilla or wrap is warm to make sure it doesn’t tear! I like to quickly warm mine up in the microwave or skillet before adding the filling.
How do I wrap a tortilla wrap?
To successfully secure all your yummy fillings in a wrap, just place all filling ingredients in the center of the tortilla or wrap (see step by step with pictures above). Then fold in the short sides toward the center, and roll the top side towards the bottom to securely wrap everything in place. If you want to heat your wrap, place wrap seam-side down on hot surface (or air fryer) to heat and secure seal. Here’s a great article with step-by-step instructions for how to fold a wrap!
Can I use precooked chicken instead?
Sure! You can easily use precooked chicken or any leftover chicken for this grilled chicken wrap! I’ve made this wrap using my leftover Blackened Chicken Tenders or Air Fryer Grilled Chicken Nuggets. This simple recipe is a great way to use up leftovers for an easy lunch or dinner and is a good source of protein!
Can I make these wraps in advance?
Yes! This delicious wrap is great for making in advance. I just suggest storing the dressing separately and adding right before eating so the lettuce doesn’t get soggy.
