About This Recipe

If you’re craving classic Italian flavors with a high-protein twist, you have to try these Breaded Chicken Parmesan Wraps! Made with crispy chicken, tangy marinara sauce, and gooey cheese, these wraps are both comforting and filling!

The best part about these wraps? They’re made with minimal ingredients including store-bought breaded chicken chunks and marinara sauce making them perfect for an easy lunch or quick weeknight dinner!

Serve these parmesan chicken wraps with a side of my garlic parmesan fries for the ultimate meal! Or for some extra dietary fiber, add one of my vegetable side dishes like green beans, broccoli, or parmesan zucchini!

Why You’ll Love These Air Fryer Chicken Parm Wraps

  • All your favorite classic Italian flavors rolled to a yummy tortilla wrap!
  • Great for a busy day! Enjoy for an easy lunch or quick weeknight dinner!
  • Made with minimal ingredients! These wraps use my favorite store-bought chicken pieces so they’re super quick to make!
  • Protein packed! Over 46 grams per serving!
  • Quick and easy to make since we’re using already cooked chicken breast chunks!

Ingredients and Substitutions

Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan Wrap.
  • Chicken: Use any frozen lightly breaded chicken chunks, like Kirkland, Just Bare or Perdue. You can also use homemade chicken nuggets like these Baked Panko Chicken Nuggets!
  • Marinara sauce: Any brand of marinara sauce or pizza sauce works! Use your favorite. You can also use homemade if you have some on hand!
  • Cheese: I used a combination of freshly grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese! I HIGHLY recommend using freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and meltiness!
  • Tortillas: I used a large flour tortilla from Wegman’s. Use whole wheat tortillas, low carb tortillas or gluten-free tortillas, whatever your prefer. Just make sure they are the large burrito size so all your stuff will fit inside!

Optional Variations and Dietary Adaptations

  • Amount of chicken: These wraps are stuffed with 9oz of breaded chicken pieces to pack them with over 46 grams of protein! Feel free to modify or reduce the amount of chicken to work with your macros if you don’t need that much protein in one wrap.
  • Grilled chicken: Feel free to sub the breaded chicken for grilled chicken or leftover rotisserie chicken for a lower calorie option.
  • Gluten-free: Use gluten-free chicken nuggets and tortillas.
  • Fresh basil: Throw in some fresh basil to your chicken mixture for added flavor!

How To Make

The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

Breaded Chicken in an air fryer basket.

1. Air fry the chicken at 390 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until crispy.

4. Toss together.

5. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and place on a plate. Microwave for 30 seconds. Lay both tortillas out. Divide chicken parmesan mixture between the two.

6. Fold the sides in, then roll up tightly like a burrito. If you want to get the sides toasty, heat a skillet over medium heat and once warm, cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve with more marinara sauce to dip if desired and enjoy!

How To Store

These wraps are best enjoyed fresh! Or, you can mix the chicken parmesan mixture together and assemble the wraps when you are ready to eat. Or you can go ahead and build the wraps so they’re ready to grab and go. When ready to eat, pop them in the air fryer for 4-5 minutes or heat on a skillet until warm.

Prepared wraps stay fresh in fridge for 3-4 days. Chicken parmesan mixture stays fresh for 5-6 days. Store in airtight containers or airtight ziplock bag.

Helpful Tips

  1. Soft tortillas: Make sure to use soft tortillas so they will wrap well without cracking. If you need to, you can cover tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for a few seconds to soften them before wrapping.
  2. Toast wraps: If you want to really elevate these wraps, you can toast the sides of the tortilla in a frying pan for a few minutes to get them nice and crispy!
  3. Chicken tenders: You can easily use breaded chicken tenders for these wraps! Just chop them into smaller pieces after air fryer before adding to your wrap ingredients.

FAQ: Chicken Parmesan Wraps

Can I use a different kind of chicken for these easy chicken parm wraps?

Yes, you can use any type of crispy chicken strips or cooked chicken for these wraps! I always grab the frozen lightly breaded chunks for convenience but you can also use homemade chicken if you have some. If using chicken strips, just be sure to chop them into bite-sized pieces. These panko chicken nuggets would be great or you can also use rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken or any other leftover chicken you have on hand.

What should I serve with these breaded chicken parmesan wraps?

This chicken parm wrap is great on it’s own, or served with a side of fruit, salad or my garlic parmesan fries. You can also serve it with a side of veggies like green beans, broccoli, zucchini, etc.

How do I wrap these breaded chicken parmesan wraps?

To successfully secure all your yummy fillings in a wrap, just place all filling ingredients in the center of the tortilla or wrap. Then fold in the short sides toward the center, and roll the top side towards the bottom to securely wrap everything in place. If you want to heat your wrap, place wrap seam-side down on hot surface (or air fryer) to heat and secure seal.
