About This Recipe

I’m all about wraps for an easy lunch or dinner and this Crispy Breaded Chicken Caesar Wrap hits the spot! This easy chicken caesar wrap recipe uses my favorite store-bought lightly breaded chicken nuggets and super quick homemade caesar dressing to give you a restaurant-quality wrap at home. Plus, since the chicken is heated in the air fryer (no deep frying required!) it’s healthier and WAY easier to clean up!

Pair this crispy chicken caesar salad wrap with my Garlic Parmesan Fries for the ultimate easy meal! Or for a lower carb option, serve with my Parmesan Roasted Zucchini!

If you’re craving a little lighter option, you can try my Healthy Chicken Caesar Wraps or Healthy Chicken Caesar Salad recipe!

Why You’ll Love These Delicious Chicken Caesar Wraps

  • All your favorite classic caesar salad flavors rolled to a yummy tortilla wrap!
  • Great for an easy lunch or busy weeknight dinner!
  • Made with simple ingredients – these wraps use my favorite store-bought chicken pieces so they’re super quick to make!
  • Protein packed! 25 grams per serving!
  • Quick and easy to make since we’re using already cooked chicken!

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Chicken: Use any frozen lightly breaded chicken chunks, like Kirkland, Just Bare or Perdue. You can also use homemade chicken nuggets like these Baked Panko Chicken Nuggets!
  • Parmesan cheese: HIGHLY recommend using freshly grated!
  • Romaine hearts: Crisp romaine lettuce is classic for caesar recipes but any crunchy lettuce works!
  • Tortillas: I used large flour tortillas. You could also use whole wheat tortillas, low carb tortillas or gluten-free tortillas if needed. Just make sure they are the large burrito size so all your stuff will fit inside!
  • Caesar dressing: To make this homemade caesar dressing grab some mayo, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic cloves, salt, black pepper, fresh lemon juice and extra light tasting olive oil.

Optional Variations and Dietary Adaptations

  • Grilled chicken: Feel free to sub the breaded chicken for grilled chicken or leftover rotisserie chicken for a lower calorie option.
  • Caesar dressing: For a lighter option you can also try this low calorie caesar dressing or use your favorite store-bought if you’re in a pinch.
  • Mix-ins: Feel free to add chopped bacon (or turkey bacon), cherry tomatoes, croutons, or your other favorite caesar salad toppings!
  • Gluten-free: Use gluten-free chicken nuggets and tortillas.

How To Make

The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

Breaded chicken pieces in an air fryer basket.

1. Wash the romaine lettuce and set out on dish towels to dry. Air fry the chicken at 390 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until crispy.

2. Let cool for a few minutes when done then slice chicken into smaller pieces.

3. Meanwhile, make the caesar dressing. Add the mayo, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.

4. Slowly pour the olive oil in, whisking vigorously as you add, and until fully blended in. Whisk in the parmesan.

5. Dry romaine really well then chop finely or shred. Add to a bowl and toss with 1/4 cup caesar dressing. Add the parmesan and chicken and toss again.

6. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and place on a plate. Microwave for 30 seconds. Lay both tortillas out. Divide chicken caesar mixture between the two. Fold the sides, then roll up tightly like a burrito. Serve with remaining caesar dressing if desired and enjoy!

How To Store

I recommend prepping the chicken and mix the caesar dressing together beforehand and assembling the wraps when you are ready to eat. If you want to prep the wraps in advance, just note the romaine won’t be as crunchy.

Or, you can add the chicken, romaine and cheese to the wraps and just dip in the homemade caesar dressing if you want to prep them in advance! I love these little 2oz disposable cups for traveling with dressings and sauces.

Helpful Tips

  1. Whisk dressing well: It’s important to whisk vigorously to get the dressing thick! Or you can always use an immersion blender or throw in a blender!
  2. Soft tortillas: Make sure to use soft tortillas so they will wrap well without cracking. If you need to, you can cover tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for a few seconds to soften them before wrapping.
  3. Toast wraps: If you want to really elevate these wraps, you can toast the sides of the tortilla in a frying pan for a few minutes to get them nice and crispy!
  4. Chicken tenders: You can easily use breaded chicken tenders for these wraps! Just chop them into smaller pieces after air fryer before adding to your wrap ingredients.

FAQ: Crispy Chicken Caesar Wraps

Can I use a different type of chicken for these chicken caesar salad wraps?

Yes, you can use any type of crispy chicken strips or cooked chicken for these wraps! I always grab the frozen lightly breaded chunks for convenience but you can also use homemade chicken if you have some. If using chicken strips, just be sure to chop them into bite-sized pieces. These panko chicken nuggets would be great or you can also use rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken or any other leftover chicken you have on hand.

How do I prep these wrap in advance?

I don’t recommend assembling these wraps until ready to eat or the lettuce might get soggy. If you need to prep in advance, you can build you wrap without dressing and just dip the wrap in the dressing on the side. Or you can prep the chicken and dressing so assembly is super quick when ready to eat.

Can I use store-bought dressing for this chicken caesar wrap recipe?

This homemade dressing is so good and easy to make but of course you can grab your favorite store-bought caesar salad dressing if desired!
