You will never believe how easy this Pico De Gallo is to make based on how delicious and flavorful it is!

Seriously, it’s so easy and requires only a few staple ingredients. The absolute perfect dip for tortilla chips or add it to your tacos or salads to give it an extra burst of fresh flavor!

I love making a big batch of this pico de gallo to serve with my Mahi Mahi Tacos or Green Enchilada Stack!

It’s also perfect for adding to my Meal Prep Carnitas Burrito Bowls or Salsa Verde Chicken Bowls!

Ingredients and Substitutions

Ingredients for pico de gallo.
  • Tomatoes – I love Roma tomatoes for this pico but you can use any type of tomato here
  • White Onion – can also use a red onion
  • Cilantro
  • Pepper – you can use either a serrano pepper or jalapeño!
  • Lime

1. Finely chop and dice all your ingredients.

2. Once prepared, add them to a bowl and thoroughly mix together.

Store pico de gallo in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Can I make this recipe in advance?

Yes, I love making this recipe a few hours ahead of time to really let the ingredients marinate and create the best flavor!

Is this recipe spicy?

If you’re worried about spice, I recommend making this recipe with a jalapeno (or even a pablano pepper). I love the slight kick of the serrano pepper but beware some peppers are hotter than others.
