Why You’ll Love These Peanut Chicken Crunch Wraps
- Quick and easy: Ready in 15 minutes or less! Perfect for a quick lunch or meal prep.
- Delicious flavor: The creamy peanut sauce brings everything together with just the right mix of savory, nutty, and tangy.
- Fresh and crunchy: Thanks to crisp cucumbers and slaw, every bite has great texture.
- Customizable: Easily use what you have on hand or adjust based on your dietary preferences.
- No reheat: These wraps are delicious cold or at room temperature, which makes them great for on-the-go lunches!

- Chicken: Any cooked, seasoned chicken works great. You can use rotisserie chicken, ground chicken, or shredded chicken breast. You can also use tofu, shrimp, or chickpeas for a vegetarian option.
- Cucumber: Make sure to finely dice them so they’re easy to wrap up. You can also swap for sliced bell peppers, shredded carrots, or even thinly sliced radishes.
- Asian slaw mix: This is just my preference, but you can use shredded red cabbage, broccoli slaw, kale, or coleslaw mixture instead.
- Avocado: Adds creaminess and healthy fats. Hummus or mashed edamame are great substitutes if you’re out of avocado.
- Thai peanut sauce: You can use store-bought or homemade!
- Salted peanuts: For that extra crunch and nutty flavor. Try cashews, almonds, or sesame seeds as alternatives.
- Flour tortillas: Use large burrito-size tortillas for easy wrapping. For a lighter option, try low-carb or whole-wheat tortillas.
- Low carb: Use a low-carb wrap tortilla or large lettuce leaves to make lettuce wraps instead.
- Gluten-free: Choose gluten-free tortillas and make sure your peanut sauce is gluten-free.
- Extra crunch: If you want extra crunch, toss in a few crispy wonton strips or shredded lettuce right before serving.
- Spicy: Add a drizzle of sriracha, chili garlic sauce, or sliced jalapeños.
How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

Microwave tortilla covered in a damp paper towel for 20-30 seconds to make it more pliable. Add avocado in a line down the center of the tortilla (smash a little if desired).

2. Add the cucumber, slaw mix, and chopped chicken.

3. Drizzle peanut sauce over top and sprinkle chopped peanuts over top.

4. Fold ends and roll up like a wrap. Serve along with more peanut sauce and enjoy!
If you’re making these ahead of time, store components separately:
- Keep the chicken, slaw, and cucumber in airtight containers in the fridge.
- Store peanut sauce in a small jar or container (if using homemade).
- Wait to add avocado until just before eating so it stays fresh and green.
- When ready to eat, simply assemble and wrap and enjoy!
Helpful Tips
-
Warm tortillas: I like to warm the tortilla slightly before filling, so it makes folding easier and prevents tearing.
-
Don’t overfill: Don’t overfill your wrap, or it will be too hard to roll it all up.
-
Prep ahead: For easier meal prep, you can portion the ingredient amounts into containers so you can assemble quickly throughout the week.

Can I use leftover chicken for this recipe?
Absolutely! This is a great way to repurpose leftover grilled chicken tenders, rotisserie chicken, shredded chicken, etc.
What kind of peanut sauce works best?
Any creamy, flavorful peanut sauce will work. Store-bought works great, or you can make your own using this homemade peanut dressing recipe.
Can I make these peanut chicken crunch wraps for meal prep?
Yes! You can prep all the ingredients ahead of time and store them separately. Then all you have to do is assemble just before eating.
Are these wraps best served hot or cold?
These peanut chicken crunch wraps are delicious cold or at room temperature (which makes them great for on-the-go lunches). If you prefer, you can heat your wrap in a skillet for a few minutes on each side to get it nice and toasty.
