Why You’ll Love This Peanut Butter Yogurt Fruit Dip
- Packed with protein: This delicious dip is packed with over 22 grams of protein per serving making it a healthy treat that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but leaves you feeling full and satisfied!
- Minimal ingredients: You only need four main ingredients to whip up this tasty dip!
- Quick to make: Make this easy dip in less than 5 minutes in one bowl so clean up is super easy!
- Kid-friendly: The whole family will love this dip! A great snack for after school or healthy post-dinner treat!
- Single-serve: Enjoy this sweet dip as a single serve recipe or quadruple the recipe for a crowd!

- Greek yogurt: You can use plain greek yogurt or vanilla! I recommend using a thick and creamy greek yogurt like Fage (if you want your dip to be thick and creamy) but any yogurt works! Use dairy-free yogurt if needed.
- Peanut butter powder: Like PB2 or PBfit. Using a combination of powdered peanut butter and regular peanut butter helps give us the full peanut butter flavor with less calories. You can also use all regular peanut butter if you prefer.
- Peanut butter: I used creamy peanut butter for this dip. I recommend using a peanut butter you really like the taste of as it will be very prominent in this dip.
- Cool whip: Make sure your cool whip is thawed so it will easily mix with the greek yogurt. I used lite cool whip but regular works. Use dairy-free whipped topping if needed.
- Cinnamon & sweetener: I love adding a dash of cinnamon and packet of stevia to make this dip a little sweeter. These are totally optional and can be adjusted to taste.
- For serving: Apple slices, pear slices or your other favorite fruits, mini pretzels, graham crackers or teddy grahams
- Nut butter: Try a different nut butter like almond butter or cashew butter and powder if you want to mix it up!
- Protein: If you want to add even more protein to this dip, you can add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder (or add extra peanut butter powder)
- For a crowd: Easily quadruple this recipe if you want to make this peanut butter dip for a crowd
- Chocolate chips: Mix in a tablespoon of chocolate chips or you can melt chocolate chips in a small bowl and pour on top (before adding to the freezer) to create a hard chocolate shell!
How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

2. Mix all the ingredients together and freeze for 20ish minutes to thicken.

2. Give it a good stir then transfer to a small serving dish. Drizzle a little honey on top if desired. Serve fruit dip with sliced apples for a tasty high protein snack and enjoy!
You can store this peanut butter protein fruit dip in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Helpful Tips
- Stir well: Make sure to stir this dip really well to fully incorporate all the ingredients (especially the peanut butter powder). If you find your dip is a little too dry, you can add a splash of milk to help everything combine together.
- Freeze to thicken: Adding this creamy peanut butter fruit dip to the freezer to about 20 minutes before serving will help thicken it up. You can enjoy right after mixing but it will be a runnier dip.
- Thaw cool whip: Make sure your cool whip is thawed so it will mix smoothly with the other ingredients.

What type of peanut butter works best for this recipe?
You can use any type of peanut butter (or nut butter) for this recipe that you love. I prefer using creamy peanut butter (as opposed to crunchy). A runnier, natural peanut butter (a peanut butter with just peanuts or peanuts + salt) will mix easier with your dip. If you use a processed peanut butter (aka Jiff) it can have some added ingredients such as sugars. It might be a bit sweeter so you may not need as much additional stevia or sweetener.
What type of greek yogurt works best for this dip?
You can use any type of Greek yogurt you prefer. Greek yogurt with a higher fat content will create a creamier yogurt. Lower fat yogurts are a lower calorie, slightly thinner option! Use a plant-based greek yogurt if you need a dairy-free option.
Can I make this dip in advance?
Yes, you can make this peanut butter protein fruit dip in advance! Go ahead and mix everything up then store it in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to enjoy! This dip will last up to five days in the fridge.
