Helpful Tips
Time saving tip! This homemade herb cream cheese is incredibly fresh and delicious, but feel free to use store bought to save time! You can also use goat cheese, plain cream cheese, creme fraiche or Boursin cheese could be used instead of herb cream cheese if you wish.
How To Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs
- Place eggs in a large saucepan.
- Cover them with cool water by 1 inch. Bring water to a boil (for easier to peel eggs, add 1/2 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp vinegar). Once at a rolling boil, set the timer for exactly 10 minutes (for perfect hard-boiled eggs) then remove from heat.
- Run eggs over cold water for a few minutes until all the hot water is gone and you’re left with the cold water.
- Let eggs sit in the cool water for 10 minutes until they reach room temperature.
Can I use pre-boiled eggs from the grocery store instead of boiling them myself?
Absolutely! Buying pre-boiled eggs works great and saves a good chunk of time!
Can I cook this smoked salmon breakfast flatbread in the air fryer instead?
Yes! Just place naan bread in the air fryer 380F for 3-4 minutes (or until golden brown) then add the rest of the ingredients to the top of flatbread and enjoy!
What is the difference between smoked salmon and lox?
The difference between smoked salmon and lox is that smoke salmon is cured then smoked whereas lox is only cured in a salt brine (not smoked). Lox has a much higher sodium content so I tend to prefer smoked salmon but use whatever you wish! You can also use gravlax or any other protein of choice.
