About This Recipe
There’s nothing like a peach dessert during the summertime. And as much I love a good peach pie or cobbler, sometimes I want to be able to enjoy the taste of peach desserts without having to be in the kitchen baking all day. That’s why I love these easy air fryer peaches.
And if you’ve ever had grilled peaches, you know how good they are! The natural sweetness of the peaches combined with the savory grill flavor makes the most mind blowing combo and this is an easy way to achieve that same taste without having to fire up the grill.
Top these warm peaches with a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkle of granola for a healthy treat! The best part of this recipe is that it’s ideal for two. Perfect when you don’t want to make whole pan of something!
I love using yellow peach halves for these air fryer peaches but you can also use white peaches. And if it isn’t peach season, you can also try any other stone fruit!

Why You’ll Love These Air Fryer Peaches
- Enjoy the taste of caramelized peaches without having to fire up the grill!
- A healthy dessert made with simple ingredients and ready in just minutes.
- The perfect summer dessert for TWO!
- A great way to use slightly under-ripe peaches! No need to wait for them to ripen.
- Top these air fry peaches with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and crunchy granola for a lazy peach crisp!
- Peaches – I used fresh yellow peaches for this recipe but you can also use white peaches!
- Cooking spray – use coconut oil or olive oil spray
- Brown sugar – you could also use Truvia for a low sugar option or coconut sugar a more natural option. Or, omit the brown sugar completely. Heating the fruit brings out the natural sugars so the peaches will naturally be sweet without any additional sugar if you like things less sweet.
- Butter – use vegan butter to make this dessert dairy-free.
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- For serving: vanilla bean ice cream, crunchy granola or toppings of choice!
- Other fruit: you can enjoy this recipe with just about any stone fruit. Try it with plums, apricots or nectarines!
- Nuts: add chopped pecans or walnuts to your cinnamon butter
- Toppings: more of my favorite toppings include greek yogurt, a little whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, maple syrup, nut butter, fresh mint, etc.
How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!
1. Cut the peaches in half with a sharp knife and discard the cores. Spray all over (or brush) with olive oil. Sprinkle the cut side of the peaches with about a teaspoon of the brown sugar and a few shakes of salt.
2. Heat the air fryer to 375 degrees F and place the peaches in the air fryer basket cut side down. Cook for 5 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, go ahead and make the cinnamon butter by combining the remaining brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
4. After 5 minutes, flip the peaches so the cut side is facing up.
5. Spread the cinnamon butter on top.
6. Cook for another 7-10 minutes or until golden brown and caramelized to liking. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, crunchy granola and a little drizzle of honey and enjoy!
Any leftovers should be stored in an airtight container, placed in the fridge, and consumed within 2-3 days.
To reheat, place the peaches (without any toppings) in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds or back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes. I don’t recommend freezing air-fried peaches as they will get mushy.
Helpful Tips
- Peeled peaches: If you don’t want the peel, no need to peel the peaches beforehand. After being cooked, the skin will easily peel off.
- Cooking times: Cooking time will depend on the size and model of your air fryer and the ripeness of the peaches. Be sure to adjust adjust accordingly. You can use a fork the poke the peaches to test if they are cooked to your preference.
- Butter: use room temperature butter so that it will mix well with cinnamon and brown sugar. The butter should be soft but not melted. If you forget to let your butter soften, place a glass of water in the microwave for 2 minutes. Once heated, dump the water out and place the warm glass upside down over butter for a few minutes to soften it.
Do the fresh peaches need to be ripe?
No, one of the best parts about this recipe is that it’s perfect if your peaches aren’t totally ripe yet. Air frying the peaches helps to soften and caramelize them to the perfect consistency. I actually think slightly underripe peaches cook perfectly to the right texture.
Can I use frozen or canned peaches?
Canned peaches are already ripe and will become too mushy. The best peaches to use for this recipe are fresh peaches.
Do I need to peel the peaches before air fryer?
No, you do not need to peel the peaches beforehand. After they are cooked, the skin will easily peel off if you prefer your peaches with out the skin.
Can I bake these peaches if I don’t have an air fryer?
Yes, to bake these peaches preheat the oven to 370 degrees F. Arrange the peaches cut side down on a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and caramelized on top.
