- Strawberries – you can use fresh or frozen strawberries. If you are using fresh strawberries, make sure they are ripe and juicy for the best flavor.

- Lime juice – or lemon juice. This helps bring the right balance of flavor.
- Different fruit flavors: switch out the strawberries for your favorite fresh fruit. Try blueberries, blackberries, peaches, mango, etc.
- Toppings: top with your favorite additions like more fresh fruit, granola, whipped cream, nuts, etc.
How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!
1. Add strawberries, water, honey, lime juice and salt to a blender or food processor.
2. Blend until completely smooth. Taste and add more sweetener or lime juice as needed.
3. Transfer strawberry mixture to a creami pint.
3. Freeze for 24 hours.
5. Take out and run ninja creami pint container under hot water for a minute, then spin through the sorbet cycle once.
6. Scrap along the sides to remove any ice then run again pressing re-spin. If still powdery or not smooth, add a splash of water and re-spin. Serve immediately and enjoy!
If you don’t finish the full pint, you can save the rest for later! Use a spoon to smooth and level out the top of the remaining sorbet in the Ninja Creami container. Place storage lid back on and and place pint in the freezer. When ready to eat, re-spin the frozen pint until desired consistency.
If you want to save your leftovers in another container, transfer the leftover sorbet to another container and freeze. To enjoy, let it thaw on the container for a bit or microwave it for 5-10 seconds to soften.
Sorbet Tips!
- Prep in advance. For best results, let freeze for 24 hours.
- Avoid Icy Edges. Run the container under hot water for 30 seconds before running it through the machine (or let sit out on the counter for 15-20 minutes). After the initial spin, run a butter knife or spoon along the sides and use the respin setting.
- Don’t overfill the container. The sorbet will expand in volume as you re-spin so don’t worry if it looks like the pint isn’t initially full. Only filling to the max fill line and leaving adequate room in the container will allow the sorbet base to spin correct to make the best, most creamy sorbet.
Can I use frozen strawberries in my ninja creami machine?
You can use frozen strawberries for this recipe but you will need to blend them with the other ingredients in a high powder blender or food processor first. Do not try to blend whole, frozen strawberries as this may damage your ninja cremi ice cream maker and you will not get the creamy texture or consistency we want with this sorbet.
How do I get my sorbet to have a creamy texture?
To get the best, creamy texture we want to make sure all our ingredients are smooth and blended before adding to the creami base. Then allow your creami base to freeze solid (~24 hours) and select sorbet spin. If your mixture is crumbly after the first spin, use the re-spin function to run the creami pint through the spin process again (or as many times as needed) to get your desired consistency level.
Can I make this strawberry sorbet recipe if I don’t have a ninja creami ice cream machine?
Yes, if you don’t have a ninja creami ice cream maker you can still enjoy this recipe. I recommend doubling or tripping the ingredients (as this recipe is written for one) then blending the ingredients as instructed. Once blended, add to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container and freeze 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop. You can stir the mixture every 30 minutes or so to help it keep a smooth consistency.
