Why You’ll Love This Pineapple Sorbet
- Naturally sweetened:Â Honey adds just the right amount of sweetness while complementing the tropical pineapple flavor.
- Creamy and refreshing:Â Coconut milk helps create a smooth, scoopable texture without needing heavy cream.
- Easy to make:Â Just blend, freeze, spin, and enjoy.
- Only a few ingredients:Â Simple pantry staples come together for an impressive homemade dessert.
- Customizable: Swap the fruit, sweetener, or toppings to create endless flavor combinations.

- Frozen pineapple chunks: Frozen pineapple creates a thick, creamy sorbet with vibrant tropical flavor. Fresh pineapple can be used if frozen first.
- Coconut milk: Canned full-fat coconut milk provides richness and helps create a smooth, creamy texture. Light coconut milk will work, but may produce a slightly icier result.
- Milk: Almond milk is my go-to, but any milk works well here. Try oat milk, dairy milk, coconut milk beverage, or your favorite plant-based option.
- Honey: I love using natural sweeteners like honey for this recipe, but you can use any sweetener of your choice here. Try granulated sugar, monk fruit sweetener, maple syrup, agave nectar, or your favorite sugar substitute.
- Madagascar vanilla extract: Regular vanilla extract works as well.
- Pinch of salt: A small amount of salt helps balance the sweetness and enhances the pineapple flavor.
- Different fruit flavors: Switch out the pineapple for your favorite frozen fruit. Try strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, mango, etc.
- Toppings: Top with your favorite additions like more fresh fruit, granola, whipped cream, nuts, etc.
How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

1. Blend all the ingredients together using an immersion blender or high-speed blender until completely smooth.

2. Pour into an empty Ninja Creami pint container. Smooth the top so it’s flat. Freeze for 24 hours, or until fully solid.

3. When ready to enjoy, place in the Ninja Creami base and spin on Lite Ice Cream.

4. If crumbly, add 1–2 Tbsp almond milk and respin until smooth and creamy. Serve right away for a creamy, sorbet-like texture 🍍✨
If you don’t finish the full pint, you can save the rest for later! Use a spoon to smooth and level out the top of the remaining sorbet in the Ninja Creami container. Place the storage lid back on and place the pint in the freezer. When ready to eat, re-spin the frozen pint until the desired consistency.
If you want to save your leftovers in another container, transfer the leftover sorbet to another container and freeze. To enjoy, let it thaw on the container for a bit or microwave it for 5-10 seconds to soften.
Helpful Tips
- Prep in advance:Â For best results, let it freeze for 24 hours.
- Avoid icy edges:Â Run the container under hot water for 30 seconds before running it through the machine (or let it sit out on the counter for 15-20 minutes). After the initial spin, run a butter knife or spoon along the sides and use the respin setting.
- Don’t overfill the container: The sorbet will expand in volume as you re-spin, so don’t worry if it looks like the pint isn’t initially full. Only filling to the max fill line and leaving adequate room in the container will allow the sorbet base to spin correctly to make the best, most creamy sorbet.
- Use ripe, sweet pineapple:Â If freezing your own pineapple, choose a ripe pineapple for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
- Re-spin as needed:Â Every freezer is different. If your sorbet looks powdery or crumbly after the first spin, simply add a splash of milk and run another Re-Spin cycle.

How do I get my ninja creami pineapple sorbet recipe to have a creamy texture?
To get the best, creamy texture we want to make sure all our ingredients are smooth and blended before adding to the creami base. Then allow your creami base to freeze solid (~24 hours) and select Lite Ice Cram spin. If your mixture is crumbly after the first spin, use the re-spin function to run the creami pint through the spin process again (or as many times as needed) to get your desired consistency level.
Can I make this pineapple sorbet if I don’t have a Ninja Creami machine?
Yes, if you don’t have a ninja creami ice-cream maker you can still enjoy this recipe. I recommend doubling or tripping the ingredients (as this recipe is written for one) then blending the ingredients as instructed. Once blended, add to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container and freeze for 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop. You can stir the mixture every 30 minutes or so to help it keep a smooth consistency.
Can I use fresh pineapple instead of frozen?
Absolutely. Simply cut fresh pineapple into chunks and freeze it before blending. Using frozen pineapple pieces helps create the thick texture needed for a creamy sorbet.
Can I add mix-ins?
Definitely! After spinning, use the Mix-In function to add shredded coconut, diced pineapple, white chocolate chips, granola, toasted macadamia nuts, or other favorite toppings.
