Soup season is here and there is nothing than a big comforting bowl of soup or chili on a chilly night! Try one of these Healthy Soup and Chili Recipes the next time you want a delicious, cozy meal!

I swear soup and chili are some of my favorite recipes to make because they’re easy-to-make, offer large portions and freeze great.

Plus, they’re always so easy to customize to your preferences or a great way to use up any extra veggies you have lying around.

These soup and chili recipes are lightened up, high protein, and can be made gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian to meet your needs.

Another reason soups and chilis are great is because they’re typically high in volume but low in calories! This means there’s lots of room for yummy toppings or a side of my favorite greek yogurt biscuits!

Yes! Most of the soup and chili recipes are great to make in advance either for meal prep or to freeze for later! Be sure to follow the exact instructions for each specific recipe but this is a great place to start if you’re looking for meals that are easy to make in bulk and freeze well.

Can I make a recipe in the crockpot if the instructions are for the stovetop?

Yes, most of these soup and chili recipes can be made BOTH in the crockpot or on the stovetop.

Is soup healthy for you?

Soup can be incredibly healthy! Most soups are packed with lots of vitamins and nutrients from the different veggies included. They’re also usually low calorie and are packed with volume. This is great if you’re in a cut or dieting phase, or this just means lots of room for extra toppings like cheese, sour cream, avocado, etc. I also love pairing my soup recipes with a biscuit, cornbread, or grilled cheese to make it extra filling.

What is the difference between soup and chili?

Chili is normally more solid and contains a mix of meat and vegetables. Soups have a more liquid base, typically made with broth, and can contain meat, vegetables, pasta, rice or other grains.
