How To Make
The full printable recipe is below, but let me walk you through the process so you know what to expect when you’re making it!

1. Roll each slice of bread with a rolling pin and cut off the crusts.

2. Place a sausage link at one end of the bread slice and roll up. Repeat for all the bread and sausage.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

4. Dip each roll up in the egg mixture

5. Warm a skillet over medium heat. Melt the butter and add the roll up buttered skillet.

6. Pan fry, turning every so often, until golden brown on all sides. Serve with warm maple syrup to dip if desired and enjoy!
- Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in a skillet, oven, or air fryer for the best texture.
- Freezer: Let roll-ups cool completely, then freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet. Once solid, transfer to a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Reheat directly from frozen in the oven or air fryer.
Helpful Tips
🍞Roll thin: Roll the bread thin enough to wrap easily, but not so thin that it tears.
👇Seam side down: Seal the seam side down in the pan first so it “sets” before rolling.
🔥Medium heat: Use medium heat so the bread browns without burning before the sausage heats through.
🍳Don’t overcrowd: Use a large skillet and make sure not to overcrowd it so each roll-up has space to crisp evenly. You may need to do multiple batches.

Can I use pre-cooked sausage links?
Yes! Pre-cooked links work great and are ideal for this recipe. Just make sure they’re warmed through in the skillet. If using raw sausage links, be sure to cook them first before wrapping them in your bread slices.
What’s the best bread to use?
Soft, sandwich-style bread works best. Thick or crusty bread won’t roll as easily.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Absolutely. You can assemble the roll-ups the night before and refrigerate them. In the morning, just dip the roll ups in your egg mixture and cook!
