Whip up my healthier take on the ultimate breakfast comfort food with just 3 ingredients! This Biscuits and Gravy Casserole will quickly become a family favorite. No one will be able to tell it’s lightened-up and protein packed!
110.2-oz. can GRANDS homestyle buttermilk biscuits (5 ct.)
22.64-oz.packs sausage flavor country gravy mix (148g)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13” baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
For the Turkey:
In a large skillet, add the ground turkey. Cook on medium heat until no longer pink, breaking into smaller pieces with a wooden spoon as you go.
For the Country Gravy:
Meanwhile, prepare the country gravy according to package directions. I used the microwave but you can do stovetop if you prefer.
Assembly:
Add the cooked ground turkey to the bottom of the baking dish. Then pour the country gravy over top. Stir around some so that the turkey and gravy are dispersed evenly. Cut each biscuit into four pieces and layer the pieces on top of the turkey and gravy mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the tops of biscuits are golden brown.
Notes
To make gluten-free: use gluten-free gravy mix and use a gluten-free baking mix to a quick biscuit dough and form into small balls to place in the greased baking dish. Here is a quick recipe for gluten-free biscuits for the biscuits and gravy casserole.
