Ingredients

  • 8 oz. feta cheese see notes
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (120g) 0%, 2%, full fat all work
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil (5g)

For topping:

  • 2 Tbsp honey (or hot honey)
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped chives
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Pine nuts, crushed pistachios, red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • In a food processor or high-powered blender, combine the feta, yogurt, garlic and olive oil until the cheeses are well combined and smooth.
  • Scoop cheese out of the food processor into a shallow bowl. Use a large spoon to create a well in the center of the cheese. Fill the well with honey.
  • Garnish the sides with chives, pine nuts and black pepper – whatever sounds yummy!

Notes

Feta: for best results, use good quality block feta cheese. However crumbled feta will work too. It will be richer with full fat feta but if you prefer you can use reduced-fat or fat-free too. I've made it all ways and I think all are tasty!
To make dairy-free: use dairy-free feta and dairy-free yogurt.
