TIME TO BECOME THE BARTENDER

I promise, this drink is super easy to whip up. Just follow these instructions:

1. Pre-salt rim if desired. Just wet outside of glass with water. Then, go around the top edge with salt. You can do this either from the store-bought container or if you put a little bit of salt on a flat plate.

2. Add some ice to glass.

3. Add margarita mix, tequila, and ice to shaker cup. Shake it all up!

4. Then, pour in contents of shaker into your glass.

5. Top with a popsicle and garnish with a lime!

MACROS/CALORIES EXPLAINED

There is alcohol in this drink, making the technical carbs a little confusing. While alcohol is not one of the 3 major macronutrients of food, it still has calories in it that need to be accounted for; making it known to many as the "4th macronutrient."

Since the calories of this drink still need to be accounted for somewhere, I went ahead and did that by logging this margarita as just carbs. That is what is reflected in the calories/carbs you see below and in MFP.

Technically, there are just 6g of carbs in this drink from the margarita mixer (2g) and the popsicle (4g). The tequila has zero carbs, but again, the alcohol is still calories that need to be accounted for.

I prefer to do this in the form of carbs, but you can also do this by dividing between carbs and/or fats as you seem fit.
